Off "AGAIN" on the level 1 course and wondered if anyone off here was going down?

I'm going too.

It's going to be the first time for me and I'm doing it on a 1200GS.

I'll be the Italian chap arriving with a motorhome..

See you there City bum, Ive just booke din there for the Thurs and friday night.

When you heading there?:beerjug:

I'm going down on thursday night, I'll leave London after office hours, it could take a while....

I did it on a 1200 last month you wont regret it.
Especially when you get to ride the other bikes on day 2.

Me too!

After my (new) wife did it and broke her foot (see the web link below and read her blog...) I'm doing it myself on the 1200GS :thumb2

First time for me too...

Couldn't get in the Abercrave, Copper Beech or Ancient Briton so am staying down the road at a nice-looking place called The Castle Coaching Inn... hope it's OK!

Look out in this Friday's SUN newspaper - Janie Omorogbe (BSB pit-lane reporter and freelance (freeloading?!) bike journo) was on the ladies only event with my missus... report should be in the paper...

Excited? You bet! :bounce1 :bounce1 :bounce1 :bounce1 :bounce1 :bounce1

I`ll wear a red carnation and a rolled up copy of the times so you can see me.:rose

Paul I rode with Janie on the off-road course in Wales ... whats your wife's name if you dont mind me asking ? just intrigued as we might have done the same course together.

Enjoy it, its good fun ...even more so when its wet and muddy.

:)

edit: Actually dont answer that one, your websites very good ... I'll be linking in to watch your travels from time to time, good luck to you both.
Apologies for the slight hijacking of your thread Skygod :)

So, Duchess, were you on the course with Tracy on 9/10th then and if so, which one were you? I was there too, carrying Tracy to the bar and back on the Monday evening! :beerjug:

No sorry, it wasnt the same event then.

... its a very tiring but then exhilerating/satsfying course to complete. 1 st day out we were buzzing with adrenlin and chatted until late into the night in the Abercrave drinking with the instructors .... the second day was a different story altogether, tired and very sore but still smiling.... but we still managed to have a drink or two in the bar with the instructors.

:)

Once again, it was a brilliant experience. JackieG is now all fired up for Morocco.

DoctorZippy and SkyGod, it was a pleasure to meet you both. Hope we meet up again some time.

I feel guilty about killing number29 and spoiling the chance of the extra-curricular classes in power slides, I guess Jonty's corner was too much for the poor old EWS.

Cheers,:beerjug:

And it was a pleasure to meet you, too...

I'm still buzzing, so much that I haven't even got round to writing it up in my blog yet... what a great experience!

And if anyone can't get in the Abercrave in future and is looking for a good place to stay, I can recommend the Castle Coaching Inn at Trewcastle. Not too far away (<30mins) and the food was excellent on the night before/after. Tell John, the landlord, you heard about it from here... :beerjug:

And SkyGod, hurry up and send the pics - want to put them in my blog!!

Paul

Sat at my desk here in Fulham feeling quite deflated after what has got to be the best weekend Ive had this year.
Great to have met you Paul and I`ll send that pic in the next day or so when Ive worked out the witchcraft of bluetooth.

A pleasure to have met you Jackie and Martin and next time I want to ride the adventure back!

Ride safe all

Just posted my recollection of the 2-days on my blog (follow website link below)... now waiting for the photos from Llewellyn... can't wait to see if I looked as cool as I imagined :augie

Just been reading your blog Paul and its a cracking write up!
Will send those pics asap. oh bytheway.

I did crack a rib and now am off work and full of pain killers!:(

At least I got to finish the course though.:thumb

Ride safe

Agreed, what a cracking write up, sorry to hear about your rib.

1 cyliner cover, 1 EWS and 1 rib : Not bad for a couple of days effort.

I still have a lasting image of Zippy trying to surf Pauls prostrate 1200 down the hill recovery practice slope :bow :bow . Where was Llewellyn when we needed him ?

Looking forward to the pics...
