Scenic Hill from the bottom - I managed a Superman impression off the top, trashing a perfectly serviceable G650GS (Sorry Simon) but other than sitting out for an hour or so with sore ribs I managed to carry on

Taking a water break - now on an R1200GS

Confidence in your bike
Look where you want to go
When the instructor shouts ease off - do so !
Motorcross boots aren't waterproof

I booked the G650GS because I thought I would enjoy learning on a smaller machine. As hugely enjoyable as it was the r1200GS was just so much better. More power, felt more planted, more comfortable stood on the pegs and you look cool

Off Road Skills Courses

Highly recommend the Off Road Skills Courses, apart from having done the level 1 i got home and booked level 2, Day in the Dirt and Brecon Beacon adventure - its a touch addictive.

If you are thinking about going get it booked - day 1 you will be wondering what you have signed up for by day 2 you will be amazed where you can ride.

The chap on Simon Paveys left, next to his wife, is Gwyn, a brilliant instructor and incrediably patient.

JP was one of the instructors in the group I was in for the ORS visit to Knockhill - fine bunch of folks, patient instructors, loved it. Plan to visit them on their own turf sometime as a result.

And Mrs P looked after my wife while I was off on the bikes playing in the mud.
