A few of my pics but none of me doing my Superman impression on "Scenic Hill"
If you're thinking about doing this course - don't - just do it. Excellent tuition and great fun
Bikes ready for the start of the day
Handling skills
Simon Pavey on his GSA
JP one the instructors
Yours truly not falling off !
Still not fallen off
JP demonstrating hill recovery on "Scenic Hill", which is impossibly steep!
Scenic Hill from half way up
Scenic Hill from the bottom - I managed a Superman impression off the top, trashing a perfectly serviceable G650GS (Sorry Simon) but other than sitting out for an hour or so with sore ribs I managed to carry on
Taking a water break - now on an R1200GS
Nice new boots broken
in
Certificate presentation
..and that one is all mine
Lessons learnt?
Confidence in your bike
Look where you want to go
When the instructor shouts ease off - do so !
Motorcross boots aren't waterproof
I booked the G650GS because I thought I would enjoy learning on a smaller machine. As hugely enjoyable as it was the r1200GS was just so much better. More power, felt more planted, more comfortable stood on the pegs and you look cool
