On a bike... somewhere!
I recently bought a low suspension r1250gs adventure from a mate.

I fitted a full height suspension but I have run into a problem with the level sensors which are now extended beyond their limit.

There are no part different parts listed for the factory lowered bike/standard bike so I assume that there must be adjustment some where....
I'm thinking the rod might be extendable???
Assuming that it is adjustable... But how much???

Does any one know and could anyone with a 1250gs adventure measure the length of their level sensor rod?? Please Please Please!

Thanks

A bit more information would be very helpfull ;)

since the launch of the 1250 GSA 28 months have passed

Giving a model year, narrows a search down to one in 12, giving a model year and month of manufacture, narrows it down to one in one :)

There are roughly 1-2 model year changes every year, & if a part is subject to a change / revision, it can occur at any time .

so its a lot of stuff to go looking through to find a part .

So model year and month of manufacture of the bike first , and what model & year suspension did you fit :)

OK I found the solution so just incase someone in the future finds themselves in the same situation.

Factory lowered r1250gs adventure bikes are fitted with a slightly modified height level sensor that has a small metal tab that stops the sensor arm drop below a certain level.

When I fitted full size adv shocks it pulled the sensor arm lower and caused it to push against the tab and ultimately cause the rod to disconnect.

The solution is to bend the tab out of the way. You'll get an error because the height sensor needs calibration so a gs911 will do the job.

Hope it helps someone in the future
