The paddle switch on my left hand side indicator has broken at one side - I have fasioned a gaffer tape repair so that it will function but will need to look a a long term solution

Has anyone had the same problem and been able to repair it ?

which part is it you need?, i may have something,i have a few bits left from some switchgear.
I have just had to get Briano to repair and change the microswitch on my GS.:thumby:

beware the mechanism is full of tiny little springs that fly away never to be found again!!!!

It's the orange paddle that has broken, it appears to have 2 points of attachment.

It's still attached at the left hand side but the right hand side has broken off so either a replacement paddle or a glue and brace fix might suffice

The tape was initially to hold it in place until I got home but it does work at the moment and Mr Boots comment as to the perils of stripping the switch down is making the temporary fix seem more atractive.

You could buy a second hand part from motor works or sherlocks etc. just remove the part and undo the cabling to under the front of the tank. Replace with new part! Reattach the cabling.

This is the 1150 one I have spare.
its an easy replace ,no need to undo any cables.just unscrew lower part of switchgear,no springs flying about.

Apologies for the delay in replying - have been away

That looks to be the part - where did you get it from ?
