Anyone have one and if so, are they any good? Mainly interested in the sand blasting gun and tyre bits.

The Lidl one is coming up here in Ireland on Monday.

Compressor size

Grand for tyres. (2kw)

Not much use for sandblasting, air wrench, grinding or painting. You need 3kw + for any of these.
With blasting you need much more and very dry air.
Continuously dry air is difficult to achieve in a domestic situation, Intermittently dry air may be achieved with a large reservoir, which this unit does not have.
In industry, a dryer is fitted, but one of these costs much more than a small compressor.

I have one its great for doing tyres, works fine on air wrench, it does run out of steam on stuff that needs a constant supply of air such as spray guns although works fine on a small airbrush, will run a die grinder for a while, great for a windy gun for wheel nuts etc. Did a nail gun and staple gun very well also.

However totaly hopless on a proper spray gun if doing large areas, dont ask why but we were painting a shipping container and it was useless, it was also hopless on a plasma torch.
For most things though it is just fine.

Its lasted for 4 or 5 years in my less than gentle hands ;-)

I've got one and it's fine for DIY

I got the retracting hose reel too and mounted it alongside the compressor, under the bench

Long hose now reaches out into the yard...................handy for outside working and doing tyres on the cars/van/mowers/bikes:thumb
