Took a wee trip today, with the 4 wheeled motor, I'm ashamed to admit, but until the 800 includes a sidecar for Cocoa, that was the way it had to be.
Anyone planning a trip to Skye, it's well worth visiting Glenbrittle beach, it's beautiful, with the Cuillin mountains as a backdrop.

We've got some stunning beaches in Scotland:D:D:D:D:D:D

WOW great photo's

Fantastic pictures!.

Have a trip booked for the October School half term week, when my youngest son (12) and i are travelling up on the GSA from north Derbyshire to visit Sky & Harris, they look truly beautiful on these photos.
He really wanted to camp for the week, tried telling him the Scotland and October equation equal rain but he's having none of it ! so were camping :blast

:oonyack

Anymore Scottish Island photo's out there .........

Hiya, at least you have the choice if the weather is shit, you can book into a hotel/b and b, as it won't be too busy then.
If you need any advice when coming to Skye, let us know!:thumb2

It is - a bit, but the Wee Free Taliban still have a good voice in Lewis and Harris. They'll die out soon enough though and it will be just like every where else. Can never make up my mind if that's good or bad:nenau

Did you get to Almundsuie

No - never even heard of it but that's one of the good things about the hebrides- there's so much there to see.

nice pics Chris! You heading over for the Classic this year?
No, afraid not. I was out there for the first time last month and loved it, although it was only windy for one day (surfing was great though). Your old HiFly saw some action at Gott Bay (my surfer friend used it!) The Helensburgh crew are planning a trip for next May (although I hope to go again before then, especially when they introduce RET). I take it you and Wully are going for the UKWA? (Love your marriage photie btw! What a cool place to tie the knot).:clap

Aye Wully no gettin a pint one day a weeks no the end of the world (I think).Went to Callanish on the Sunday ,beatiful but very sureal. The place I was Talking about was here on the west coast of Harris AMHUINNSUIDHE CASTLE it was stunning watching the Salmon jumping straight from the sea into the Loch system .Your photees have got me thinking of a return visit Cheers If I win the lotto I might even stay at the castle :beerjug:

Nice pics jurassic, but get your van off my lawn :), spent two very happy years living in Ballevullin. Is Andy Groom still running the Wave Classic?.. damn I miss Tiree.

Other great beaches Sandwood Bay, Melvich,Strathy, second beach Achmlvich and near the central belt Ravenshough Sands, also known as Tyninghame.

Cheers

don't think anyone's parking their vans on your lawn at the mo - some access issues going on - I (selfishly) really hope they are resolved before I get back out there in Oct. :thumb2

And yes, Andy Groom is still running the Wave Classic

And if you miss Tiree you should get back over there :bounce1 RET kicks in late October :clap:clap

Just a quick update on your lawn and access rml, you can park on the grass above the beach but there's an area specifically roped off and designated for parking so it's not a free for all (some sections down past Kilkenneth were the same). We were warned off the Green though.
