Just picked up from another thread that light bars may cause problem with H&B bars - can anyone advise if this is so please as I am hoping to put a 2nd hand Migsel ADV bar on my standard 1150?

Can anyone tell me if there a difference between std and ADV light bars for fitting or will I need to find the pillar drill in the shed? :(

You're confused?
I've got an 1150 GS with H & Bs, & my own light bar (not much different to Migsels), no problems.

There is no differance at all between the two bars.

There is however, a differance between the MkI & MkII bars,

The MkI version is straight, while the MkII version is curved.

Finally I have never heard of any problems with H&B engine bars:nenau

Confusion?

The post came from an earlier thread that I had responded to.

I asked if anyone had had problems fitting the Nippy Normans light bar. One reply said that on full lock the light bar and H&B engine bars fouled and somehow took a chunk out of the forks.

I cannot see how this could happen, but would welcome any comments as I am about to fit the light bar to my GS.

Regards
