In the poo as always
I have a standard GSA screen with Tobinators fitted, these have got rid of the buffeting, but light from the headlight main beam reflecting off the underside of the screen is making it hard to see where I'm going at night.

The lower front edge of the screen is above and behind the light and I don't want to change the positioning now I've got the airflow going where I want it. Anyone else had this problem and know of a fix?

I've been thinking about putting self-adhesive matt black vinyl on the underside of the lower part of the screen and spraying the silver cover over the clocks matt black too, but thought I'd see if anyone else had a proven cure first.

Cheers,

Thanks fellas:beerjug:,

Should have mentioned its an 1150:blast

The deflector for the 1200 gives me an idea to knock something similar up though, and I'll remove the headlight/clock cover plate and see if that works as a temporary fix tonight. If it does then spraying it matt black will do the trick.

Hi-ho hi-ho, its off to the shed we go!:hammer

Light,

I gad same problem on 1150gsa with tobinator /HID combination, solved using piece of auto door seal and zip ties

+1 my medium of choice was damp proof membrane material as that what I found in the garage.

Turn the headlights off, they are useless bits of farkle on these bikes.

Tried that, but everytime I switch the ignition off to cut the lights the engine stops! must be an electrical fault somewhere:D

Know what you mean about the lack of power though, may as well put a candle in a jam jar for what the thing does. When funds allow I'll be having a word with the guys at HID50.

Sussed it. Got some plastic sheet used to scratch build models from a local shop. Couple of sheets of that bonded together for rigidity, cut and moulded to shape then sprayed up satin black and attached to the underside of the clock/light cover plate using 3M uber-sticky velcro.::thumb2

Still bugger all headlight beam, but light reflection problem sorted for when I can afford the HID kit.
