light weight gloves

tried out a pair of these. i normally go safe with heavy leather with the same for light. winter gloves just don't work with the 12gs for me..... as return from thumb cancel i just switch on the right indicator. (thank heavens for heated grips ).

but these were like unprotected sex with my mate.

I use Moto-X gloves still got knuckle protection and nice and light.

too racie and 'not' knuckle protection...... just another well placed object to bugger them.

a lesson from when i bought steel toe cap boots....... by the way the body falls, and the forces, the steel can cut off your toes!

Hmm I know what you mean, but that's a bit like the ' I don't wear a seat belt because once upon a time a guy got strangled by one after an accident' arguement.....

I've got a large abrasion mark on the back of my GS gloves from where I had my hand jammed inbetween the road and the end of my DRZ's handlebar....and after riding my old F650 under a truck (don't try that at home folks..it ain't big or clever) my carbon fibre gloves were fekked and the CF pads cracked up...the tip of one finger was broken (it had no padding over it) but otherwise my hands survived the crunch....

I'm sure they wouldn't have if I'd been wearing gloves with no protection.......and I'm prepared to accept the tiny risk that in freak cases, padding could cause more damage.

Aerostich Elkskin Ropers - ask the 100+ GSers who have had pairs in the last 18 months. They are the perfect dry weather glove. It doesn't matter how cold it gets, they work really well and with a good slap of Renapur or similar they are showerproof as well.

and i don't see how as my left thumb is the same size.
