Lighting query

i'm confused - is this the lighting thread or the handling thread ? :)

anyway - what i would like is to keep the std chromey aux lights but just make them main/dip with a decent light output.

any ideas ?

It's both, keep up:D

I find it best not to ride after dark :nenau

Interesting exchange rate ...

... on this order; cost inc. postage was $249 however the charge to my CC was only £132 which gives an exchange rate of 1.85; this seems very generous when todays quoted rate is 1.52 :nenau

However, just to make me feel less smug, import tax was £32 and 'handling' another £11

Just got to get out there and fit it now :augie

So was that lights you bought, bushings and rubber mounts or a Touring link?

Finally ...

... fitting day arrived; quite straightforward until you realise that the OS swingarm plate won't come off without removing the down pipes ! The lower bolt is just too long. So off come the rear pot header pipes, which on my bike are split to feed each side; these things have more heat shields than the space shuttle. So, link now fitted but need some extra exhaust clamps and a gasket to fit the (new to me) standard silencers which cost me the princely sum of £29 on eBay. Plus got to cut off the flange on the old headers, which will be easier now they're on the bench :thumb
