Guys, I have recently fitted a pair of small driving lights, wired so I can use them as daytime running lights, i.e. Will switch on with the ignition.
Here are some pics which may help those who do not have these auxilliary lights fitted to see the difference, the bike is in my garage and points downhill slightly, the dip beam is a Phillips Vision plus 50 % brighter and the main is a Phillips Rallye 100w.
Both the driving lamps are standard H3 55w.

I don't know if can post multiple images but the order is this:-

1. Dip Beam only

2. Auxilliary driving lamps only.

3. Dip & Auxilliary.

4. Dip, Aux & Main beam.

Hi peeps,

you will know from my posts elsewhere that I have a lightbar and PIAA 1200s with a 'cancel' button switch. I cannot recommend such a system enough. The headlight is always on but when I want to be seen - on roads with restricted vision or in traffic the driving lights get put on. It has an immediate effect. Yes it does look like 'Close encounters...' but because they are set properly I don't get flashed. If you are in a group your mates will say "There're a bit bright" because our mirrors are always directed into our faces but they are the best thing I have ever done on the bike. Of course if we all had Hondas we wouldn't need to do this...

PIAA 1200

Iv'e got very similar lights on my Pan, mounted under the headlight, even though the Pan headlight is very good this is a case where more is definitely better.

If they flash you then they have seen you, let 'em flash.

They came as a kit from "The Electrical Connection" in the USA

They came with a special mount to fit under the headlight of the Pan and with all the wiring and switch. He also does a kit for the GS.
