Lightning storm in the Pyrenees last week

Well, not really but it was bloody scary if only for a while.

Just got back from my tour of the mountains. Great fun and we have all got the "bends"

The GS was faultless and used only a pint of oil.
 
We were there end of May, never rode in any rain but the last Thursday (26th) we watched that sort of storm form Hotel in Ainsa whilst having a beer........could have been the same one.

I'd never really thought of it before, but having seen that what is the best advice if you get caught in a thunderstorm? :nenau

I would have thought that the rubber soles on bike boots would be ok, but given that there's metal clips etc, do you take your helmet off? Sheltering under trees is a definate no-no. Someone must have researched this. :eek
