Hi all,

I just installed some SW-Motech guards on my toilet, so took the opportunity to take some pics.

Bars - Went for the black as the grey don't match, stands and ancillaries are black so thought this would blend better.

The Lights are from BikeViz the mounting bar from SW-Motech, trigger taken from the aux socket.

The pics:-

The lights look good an the bars , but IMHO that light bar is pants and looks like its just been cut out of the first thing they've found compared to a migsel light bar. How much was it ?
Your bike mate as long as your happy ,:flag

It was £44 and may get swapped out for something a little prettier at some point as and when things become available.

I am not a fan of the SW-motech bars. Let me rephrase that. I am a fan of their price, but not the product. Anything can go right through the side into the cylinders directly. While I agree with your comment about the colour being different black is a bad choice simply because it will get scratched when it falls over and you will see through the paint/powder coat. This is why I would go stainless instead.

Looking what is available in the market I still think BMW or Touratwat onse are the better choice

:bow Scratched bars look well hard.

I hesitated over which engine bars to get and having seen the black SWs I've gone for the lovely stainless BMW bars which are a quality piece of kit. Expensive but worth the extra IMHO on long lasting good looks alone and hopefully have been drop tested by BMW so should work as well.
Thanks Ocean :clap and I believe they have one or two bar kits in stock.

There is so much tubing already on show on an LC that it seems a little perverse to add another set of tubes in another colour. to me, it just does not look right. So, for me, I will be having a close look at the BMW variety

Thank you both and you're welcome Jonnyp :thumb2

I think they'll be on my list... A lot cheaper than the BMW ones, I agree they, are stainless but in the event of a drop at least these ones could be rubbed down and repainted

Had similar on my old GS and they were fine.

They appear to be powder coat rather than paint, so if I ever needed too about £30 to get re-done around here. :thumb

Sorry, yep powder coat .. Hey and if you fancy a change of colour.....simples.

The BM ones do look nice but I think the ones you have set the bike off IMHO.
