my neutral light and gear position is no longer being displayed is it the gearbox sensor or somthing else has anyone had this problem or is it just worn out 2005 gs 49000 miles

A common problem, its the gear position sensor on the rear face of the gearbox. Try a squirt of WD40 or seal it with ACF 50 once dry.
