Location
Mid wales Where roads were built for bikes
Started the bike today and did a few miles.
Noticed the dash light for the led headlight was not on, but could see the head light was on in the reflection of the car in front of me.
Played with the fogs and it then came on.

It then did the same after reading starting the bike on the way home.
Any ideas:nenau

Was it dark enough to activate the auto lights function, assuming you have it set? Or did you press the light button by mistake?

Are you talking about the green "lights" symbol on the RHS of the dash? Rather intuitively, it goes OFF when the headlight is on. Well, it does on my bike. In my car (a current BMW), the same green symbol comes ON when the lights are on. Sheesh.

Yep those are the ones..
I just don't understand why some times its off but comes back on on its own..
I assume the head light comes on then when it goes dark
On its own.

I am normally quite intelegent:D

The green telltale on the dash is on when the daytime riding light is on. This is based on a light sensor. If it is too dark the DRL goes off and the dipped main beam comes on. You can turn off the DRL auto option in the SETUP area in the onboard computer.
