Am I right in thinking that the dash lights on the GSA only come on when the ambient light levels fall?? is there a sensor in the clocks.

Or are my dash lights playing up.

My dash lights only light up after dark / come on at dusk via a light sensor i think- mine is an R1200GS not the GSA- but I think this is the same
