BMW Adventure special
BMW has launched a special edition version of its R1150GS Adventure, offering even more focus on enduro and long distance riding.
The bike takes the already off-road focused Adventure and adds the Integral ABS braking system, crash bars, heated grips, and white indicator lenses. It will cost you almost £800 more than the standard R1200GS but will be more than £500 cheaper than buying the Adventure and adding all the bits separately.
Only 90 of the bikes will be coming to the UK and they will all be Blue and white. And BMW will even fit knobbly tyres free of charge if you want.
The firm has also recently released its sales figures for the last year confirming what our monthly reports have already shown, that the firm is showing unprecedented sales success.
Sales of the R1200GS have pushed it up to the third biggest selling bike in the UK while the R1200RT has outsold it’s nearest rival, the Pan European, by 26 percent. In all the company’s sales are up 46 percent in the last year.

Adventure only in Blue and White

Limited Edition

Reduced price.....Must be the last run of the 1150 ADV then me thinks!!!

The HP 1200 can't really be called the successor to the ADV. Can't see many folks wanting to do a "Long Way Round" on the HP.

Don't get me wrong looks like a fantastic off road tool, but not a round the world jobbie. Unless they supply unlimited amounts of pile cream with every purchase:rolleyes:

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

The two of you should go back asleep again ! I posted this as "end of line gs" over a week ago :P :P And yes obewan it is the last run of the Adventure, they stop production in august. i still appear to be the only one on the site here to have ordered one.

Well this explains BMW's "need" to increase price and do away with important things like tool kits and spare keys then!!!!!......... or maybe not!!!

Feckin' typical... show them they're doing ok, and like everyone else they get GREEDY!!!!

pah...

Oooohhhh get her!

Does look like a bit of a stunner though.

Well!

Hi

FIRST post!!!

NOW that is the dogs-bullocks!!!

Been surfing this site last few months whilst trying to decide between a 1200 or an 1150GSA. Going to have to hurry I realise if production of the GSA is stopping in August!! BUt that ...(trick lighting aside - ie pro photographers being able to make anything look good!) ... that really does look the absolute b u s i n e s s !!

For what it's worth, my thoughts as a newbie are that Yes the 1200 is lighter/faster/better? BUT why does the 1150 just have an undeniable OVER-ENGINEERED feel/look to it in the same way as a late 80's BMW 5 series - those things are bomb-proof - OVER- engineered!

The 1200 looks engineered (down?)to a budget!?

Like I say - just the impression of a newbie!!

Thanks for the pic mate!
