Lincolnshire Area Servicing

We've just moved to Lincolnshire, not far from Sleaford, and I'm looking for somewhere to take the S10 for servicing.

There appear to be more closer options than there are for our GSA and they are:

• Webbs of Lincoln: 23 miles
• Len Manchester, Melton Mowbray: 28
• Webbs, Peterborough: 31
• CMC, Nottingham: 37
• Arnolds, Leicester: 44

I don't have any experience of any of these dealers. Are there any in the list you'd recommend or ones I should avoid?

Always found RHW Motorcycles in Lincoln a good place to go to - nice bacon bap just around the corner too

Sorry, I should have mentioned it's still under warranty so I need a main dealer.

Webbs are excellent. A family run firm who've been there for donkey's years. The chief mechanic has been there since he was a nipper.
Lovely people but cheap they most definitely are not.

And the same bacon buttie van is equi-distance from Webbs as it is from RWH.

Thanks, I shall give Webbs a try then. They're the nearest dealer to me as well which is nice.

I can't think of a main dealer I'd describe as cheap, although Alfords in Folkestone (Excellent main dealer for Yamaha and Suzuki) and Dave Fox in Ramsgate (Kawasaki) were a hell of a lot cheaper than Laguna Motorcycles in Maidstone and Ashford.

I thought the law had changed re warranties and main dealers? Happy to to be told otherwise.

Rwh every time Bruce did my valve timing 25,000 miles perfect, contacted 2 Yamaha agents one in Lincoln and one north links and none of them had even seen inside the engine.

I thought so too but when I asked my Yamaha dealer a couple of years ago if they'd be able to service other brands for me they said they'd be happy to but it wouldn't maintain the warranty as the law has changed for cars but not for bikes.

The Allianz warranty for our GSA is insurance so they can basically stipulate what they want.

Sounds like that's the place to go once the warranty on the S10 has expired. Wonder if they'll be happy to work on our Harley? I definitely want an independent for that.
