I've got a day off work tomorrow, so was thinking about heading down to the Lincolnshire Wolds for the first time.

I'll use the Humber Bridge and then head towards Caistor.

I would be grateful for any tips on which roads to ride, places to visit, or indeed places to avoid! A GPX would be event better. :)

Many thanks.

RIDE magazine described it as a “Yee-haa!” of a road.
Lincs has some boringly straight fen roads but also some really great back roads too.
Beware of tractors and mud.

and unmarked , Black BMW X5's , with blacked out windows in the back , and no visible lights .

There’s something for everyone in the Wolds: fast sweeping A roads and small lanes with hardly a car on them.
I would post up on the East Midlands section, someone will have some GPX files or even take you around.

I'm back. I had a great day out, thanks for the suggestions.

In the end I spent most of my time on back roads, exploring the area.

The twisty road between Horncastle and Wragby (from the Lincolnshire 100 route above) was a blast. Rather that complete the loop I did a return run. 😀

Good idea about asking the locals, I'll try that next time.
