Ive spent the last few weeks visiting shops and ordering online, trying to find some decent clothing that fits my lump of a body! At 6ft 3" tall, 52" chest & 44" waist I was struggling to get decent gear that fitted. I seem to have spent every day returning gear that either didn't fit, or where the knee armour was half way down my shins etc. But I've now settled for a Lindstands suit - Qattara Jacket (size 64) & TT Trousers (size 62) - and it fits perfectly.

This outfit seems more biased to summer wear, or 3 season at best, so Ill be looking for some winter gear in a few months. It feels great quality, with plenty of vents and adjustments, including the trouser to jacket zip. Ive since ordered the Halvarssons Secure L2 Back Protector, and the bib/braces. Everything ordered from Branded Biker (also known as J&B Motorcycles) in Boston Lincs. The guy I spoke to on the phone was extremely knowledgeful & helpful. Its a decent looking suit, and goes well with my matt black Neotec lid...

Depending on the type of riding you are doing you can adapt the season comfort with layers.

A good set of merino thermals and a well fitted waterproof onesie complement all of my suits. I wear the merino almost all of the year. Over suits are an acquired taste but really work for me in the midst of winter.

Thanks Matt, I've just purchased the Richa Rain Warrior jacket & trousers for wet weather. But as you say, i do need to get a set of thermals to wear underneath.

I do like the Halvarssons kit. I have a balaclava of theirs with a silk hood, neoprene face mask and fleece collar. Won't ride without it 3/4 of the year.
