Just taken delivery of one and it's a substantial lock but easy to carry in my tail pack. Good points: smooth locking mech, peace of mind and can easily be coupled to my chain for extra security. Not so good points, worth considering: Won't go around my front wheel, just through the spokes. Won't go through the single sided rear axle, too short, and too big to fit through the rear sprocket or wheel/tyre. I use it over the front or rear spokes instead and also use an alarmed front disclock, plus mini D shackle through rear sprocket. Not much to carry, especially if leaving the chain behind. All in all, worth the investment but it really wants to be a cm wider and longer to suit more bikes (I'm told it will go around a GS front wheel)

There’s now a longer version

Wow £199

I'd be worried someone will try and nick it if left outside unattended

A few years ago my lad went to college on his proper MTB, his daily having a flat tyre.
Locked in the bike store with one of my motorcycle chains. A heavy duty thing.

Cctv caught a scrote walk up and pull out a massive set of bolt croppers from under a long coat. Went through the chain like pruning a bush and off he rode.

£6k gone in the blink of an eye.

Dispite the cctv the police would only offer a crime number, weren't interested in viewing the footage.

Due to the value the bike wasn't insured.

Unless you got some chrome central heating pipe bent into a U lock shape and filled it with dynamite.

Having had an original X1 for a while now and rating it, decided to go the full hog and got 2 more X1 mini D locks so all the bikes have an angle grinder resistant lock on them and a lighter/smaller option for carrying on the bikes.

Price for the mini is £139 (less £10 with code URBIKERQUEEN) and comes with a travel pouch. It even fits in the tank compartment on the R100GS PD :)

So far impressed with them.

Some of my old bikes the scrotes would be angle grinding the bike away to blag the lock :D

There is always a cost/benefit analysis to be done ;)

My latest security purchases were prompted by this - someone losing their V4S from outside of Nottingham Ducati :(

Depending what you fasten it to, maybe they would cut that instead ??

Fuck, when shit bags are nicking bikes whilst right outside dealerships that’s not good.

Just bought a used litelok x1 and Hiplok D1000, anyone else use this combo

X3 & D1000 with a KTM 1290 SAS. X3 goes around the front rim & tyre or through the rear disc & alloy spokes. D1000 either through front or rear disc & spokes.

Just ordered two X1 mini Litelok locks separately.
One with the above discount code URBIKERQUEEN
Other with the code THATBIKERSIMON

£129 each. 2 keys and travel bag.

Thought that was good value. HIPLOK DX1000 is about £277 here is the best deal I could find with a quick search.
Asked the seller why newother. His reply this morning.

Morning.
The brown outer box has been opened. Other than that, everything is new and unopened.

How are you intending to use the X1 mini on rear wheel Nick?

I carry the X1 along with Hiplock chain, a seatylock mason d140 d lock and an alarmed disc lock. Whole lot is carried in a small tail pack.
