Litelok X1

Just ordered a LiteLok X1 using the code BIKESOCIAL15 it gives £15 discount

I prefer the Hiplok DX1000 to my Litelok 1X... But both are robust. Anything to deter scumbags......

I have both the X1 & X3 the X3 is considerable better than the X1 and well worth the additional cost

Care to elaborate as to why, please? This forum values ‘hands on’ ‘real life’ experience, above anything one might read or see on the internet.

I’m toying with buying a touring lock and just wondered if anyone has used this new lightweight flexible lock from litelok?

I have one, good kit but not really wearable as a belt imho.

In fact I must sell it 😂

No experience with the above. However it looks way too expensive for what it is. Would image it would be cut open in seconds. Do you really need it to be light weight?

I watched this yesterday. I thought it was an excellent and very thorough review of all the top locks readily available.

That’s my chips pissed on then

I also have the DX1000(and the D1000)Only downside is they don't do a diamond rated chain for touring.I have the Hiplock Mega chain that is used in the garage along with the DX1000,I have the X chain for touring but it wouldn't take much to get through the X chain.Good point is I can put both locks bungee'd to the pillion seat and X chain in the top box.
As you say, anything to deter the feckers.

I have one - easy to use and store in a pannier lid. OK but seen videos of them being cut with an angle grinder very quickly. Not really worth the money but ok if used alongside say a Litelok Mini as part of a layering approach.

Perfectly good enough, compared with nothing.

Not every scrote is armed with an angle grinder. Why? Because they do not need to be, when it’s so simple to just push away a motorcycle, unsecured in any way…. See push away videos if in any doubt…. Plus a scrote without an angle grinder might well have a lot less to explain to plod, if stopped.

Thing to remember, many of thee scumbags will try with bolt croppers and may not have an angle grinder; even if they do, it's unlikely they'll come tooled up with spare batteries and discs. Even the X1 will need 3 to 5 discs and likely a battery change, so any of these locks is better than not using one. Same goes for crop resistant D locks. I won't carry a lock that can be easily cropped, that's the minimum standard for me. Chains can all be ground through but larger ones cannot be cropped. It's a juggling act though and I don't travel with a heavy chain, as it's part of a layering system in combination of with several locks, so am happy with a 10mm Hiplok chain as it's still a visual deterrent and still needs time and effort to get through. Will thieves bother if you also have a grinder resistant lock and a disclock? Only the most determined or where they can lift a beke into a van. Any chain will slow them down and locking both wheels stops them wheeling it to a van....unless they lift the whole thing.

Picture of mine - it's actually the cycle one which is I believe the same as the motorcycle one minus the cover:

Agree.

I have the X1 Plus, X3 moto and core moto.

X3 is what I take when out and about.
