Lithium Ion Batteries

Hi guys ,

Anyone used these type of batteries in their bike.

I have a 2003 R1150 GS and have just had the third battery fail since I have had the bike ,5 years.

The local BMW dealer cannot get me a oem one for 15 days.

There is a bike shop in Dubai that has Battery Tender Lithium Ion batteries in stock and I am thinking of taking that route.

Would be interested to hear the forums thoughts.

I have built a custom harley and used one. They are great. Very light weight. Just dont let it completely run flat as they are then buggered. They hold their charge indefinitely though. Just ensure there is no drain on it while stored.
