Battery light - The bike starts ok but sometime the battery light stays on. A quick blip of the throttle and the light goes out and everything is ok for the rest of the jouney. Is this a problem? There's only 1 month left on warranty so it would be nice to fix if its going to be a problem in the future.

Heavy clutch - Clutch level is rather heavy to what I'm use to. Is this just the way it is or is there something that can be done to lighten it up a bit?

Thanks for the help before, I've changed the oil and filter and even got to use my torque wrench for the first time. :beerjug:

Come on Wibble, help us to help you.

Charging light........They all do that sir.

Heavy clutch..........what model and compared to what ?

Congrats on the torque wrench, did you set it for FP or NM ?

Sorry its a 1150 adventure and I was comparing it to my old Yamaha Fazer 600.

Time to worry when the charging light stays on and won't go out when you blip the throttle.

Do you have servo brakes?

I have noticed on my 1200 that if I start the engine with the brakes held on, the battery light stays on for a while, presumably because the servos suck a lot of juice.

That`ll be your V belt sir;)

I knew that (eventually) that's what happened to me on the motorway in a Baltic state on the Wednesday before the rear bearing gave up on the Friday (at least it wasn't bl**dy raining whilst we were having the breakdowns)
