Ljubljana Trip, What have i done ?

Looks like I'm going to ride down to Ljubljana next month on me 1997 Electra Glide

I'm planning to change all the oils and fit new spark plugs plus replace front and rear wheel bearings as there is a little play in both. All the brake pads, Disks and Tyres are pretty much new. Is there anything else I should look at ?

I'm going to take spare Throttle cables, Clutch cable, Spark plugs, Puncture repair kit and Tools. Is there anything else I should take ?

Changing the belt is a major job, certainly not roadside. You even have to take the exhaust off to change the clutch cable.

Take breakdown cover, it'll be fine.

I went to Lake Bled, just up the road from where your staying (two years ago).
Was on a 1999 Road King.The only thing I did was put petrol in it... No worries, enjoy.





PS..I had breakdown cover, just in case.

Cam and primary chain tensioner. Go over all nuts/bolts for tightness. Spare fob battery and so on.

There's meant to be play.
They are taper rollers. Clean them ,grease them and check the seals.
Only change if knackered and then end play needs to be reset.
Look after them and they last forever.
Enjoy your trip.

Its only the other side of Austria. 1000 miles from Lemington spa. 17 Hours riding....I forgot you're on a glide so maybe 34 hours riding

The best advice you can have for riding in Austria is don't wear sunglasses if you will be riding through tunnels.

No.....It has all changed now, they recommend the use of sunglasses at all times, particularly if you are going to or via Italy
