Llama Run 4 - Possible weekend in the Peaks

Hi Guys

I have got plenty of tracks and trails listed for the Peak District. Would anyone be interested in a weekend away (camping) in Derbyshire.

This is only a tentative idea at the moments as I don't have an official shore pass from SWMBO.

Concept:

Friday: Ride up to campsite near Bakewell (either take day off or set off after work whichever suits).
Saturday: Campsite breakfast and greenlane all day until too may bits have dropped off. Lunch at cafe/pub en route. Evening meal at a local falling-down place.
Sunday: Campsite breakfast, Strike camp, a few more gentle lanes in the morning and then ride home in time for tea.

I would suggest one weekend in August (avoiding the bank holiday - too many ramblers). Otherwise it would have to be late September due to me hols.

The routes could be gentle or extreme (I can plan for both) and I could work out a couple of routes so that there could be more than one group (if someone else would lead).

What says you all?

As long as it doesn't make that horrible ning, ning, ning, noise that can be heard 20 miles away.......



Possibly thinking about 19th/20th August (preferable) or 2nd/3rd September (possible) or 30th/1st October (worst case).

How does that fit with everyone.

Change of plan

Really sorry about this guys but SWMBO has been given a few days off either side of this weekend and it would be matrimonial suicide (plus no more leg over for months ) if I went away then.

I have been given a shore pass, just not for that weekend .

How about the weekend before thats the 11th, 12th, 13th.

This also means its a week less to wait.

Sorry Ralph but I can’t make the weekend of the 12th as I’ll be on the Hospice float in Clacton Carnival… dressed up as an owl . This year’s theme is The Owl & The Pussycat.
