A big thanks to Timpo and Harry (Hairy Hitler) for guiding Felix, Mouse and myself round some superb tracks yesterday. Lots to technical ups and downs, sump-bangers, ruts, more nettles than you can shake a scythe at, sticky weather and daft sheep.

It's a long time since I've been so tired after a dirt run - a proper workout.

Thanks again - photos to follow from Mouse and me, when we've regained use of our aching hands.

Now I see why GPS might be useful!

Nettles

That's Timpo just wearing a T-shirt while pushing through 7 foot high nettles.

Hard man? Or just insane? He's got a 12ADV on order if that helps you decide!

Good wasn't it!!

OK Chaps, I'm glad you enjoyed it. And to be fair, I was a bit wrecked when the first sip of beer hit my lips that evening.
The photos should get the message across that these lanes need more usage and encourage others to come and experience these routes in the near future.
Talking of which, I am planning to run a few more sorties real soon, in both this area and further West towards the Coast.
The 'Lane of the Day' award goes to the R100GS ascent up Sweeney Mountain, a proper Rooster's Tail if I've ever seen one!
Pingo, I hope you've recovered?!
Timpo.
