Llangollen Motorcycle Show August 2/3rd

Sounds good to me :)

ORGANISERS OF the two day Llangollen motorcycle show have said that that they have been given the full backing of the North Wales police.
The news comes in light of the recent outrage over the cancellation of several motorcycle shows including the annual Welsh Motorcycle Show at Builth Wells over fears of violence between what police call “rival biker gangs”.

Llangollen organiser David Green that the show, on August 2nd and 3rd would be daytime only and would not offer any camping facilities.

Looks good to me, maybe even go up on Friday night, pitch up tent and have a few beers? Anyone else up for it?

I live about five miles away, mind you a camp out and a few scoops sounds good to me:thumb
I will scope out campsites nearby.

Can you let us know if you find a campsite, I'd be interested if the wife can be left alone ok ( 8+ month with child!)

Will it be difficult getting a campsite due to the visitors / police etc?

What happens at this show anyway - I've never been

Probably going to be the last motorcycle show at llangollen ! It was absolutely shite :blast

Feckin good job I didn't bung £250 for a stand there then.

I'd never heard of it before the woman phoned up and told me about it.

Why was it so shite then

I went and had a look around and thought it was OK.
The difference might be that I did not expect much from a show in it's first year so was pleasantly surprised that there was so much there.
Details on the web site were also a bit sketchy for that reason. They could not show any photos because there hadn't been a show before.
The BMF it is not but with a few more exhibits and vendors it shows real promise as the venue itself is fine.

I thought it was okay for a first go, my local club had the kids showing off on their trials irons:thumb

Perhaps it was a local show for local people:o

It had maybe a handfull of classic bikes eg Kwak Z900 and a couple of triumphs, but the rest was car (or bike) boot stalls. There was the odd stand selling hats and sunglasses. I agree the stunt show was very good - but there was nothing there to keep you there longer than an hour.

I went with one or two mates - one was looking to spend a couple of undred on bits and pieces - all we bought was an ice cream.

It needed some big boys there, not Dai from down the road!
