ORGANISERS OF the two day Llangollen motorcycle show have said that that they have been given the full backing of the North Wales police.
The news comes in light of the recent outrage over the cancellation of several motorcycle shows including the annual Welsh Motorcycle Show at Builth Wells over fears of violence between what police call “rival biker gangs”.
Llangollen organiser David Green that the show, on August 2nd and 3rd would be daytime only and would not offer any camping facilities.
Hi Neil spoken to Quick Nick he's up for it, so if you can find a campsite nearby we should be able to come up on saturday afternoon, got to work sat am unfortunatly. send me a PM if thats ok. Cheers
Al.
I went and had a look around and thought it was OK.
The difference might be that I did not expect much from a show in it's first year so was pleasantly surprised that there was so much there.
Details on the web site were also a bit sketchy for that reason. They could not show any photos because there hadn't been a show before.
The BMF it is not but with a few more exhibits and vendors it shows real promise as the venue itself is fine.
It had maybe a handfull of classic bikes eg Kwak Z900 and a couple of triumphs, but the rest was car (or bike) boot stalls. There was the odd stand selling hats and sunglasses. I agree the stunt show was very good - but there was nothing there to keep you there longer than an hour.
I went with one or two mates - one was looking to spend a couple of undred on bits and pieces - all we bought was an ice cream.
It needed some big boys there, not Dai from down the road!
