Loan R1250RT

I've always wondered about running a proper tourer like the RT, I've never ridden one.

That front fairing looks massive, like the designers went for as big as they could fit.
Fantastic two up touring bike and they handle well.

We are considering changing our 2023 KTM 1290SAS for a 1250RT. I love the Katoom but on long Euro tours the engine does seem to be a bit too loud, even with standard exhaust, and its definitely on the tall side. Something lower and smoother is what we want...hence the RT. Plus some weather protection for the rainy days would be nice.

Best handling touring bike out there. Fantastic mile muncher.
Absolutely. Been so impressed with our new duty 1250 RT, I've already made my mind up I'll be replacing my own RS with one when the time comes. By then, with every one clamouring for PCP contracts for the new 1300 , there'll be some good deals available :).

I’ve had two GSA’s and a GS during my boxer engine lifetime. Was considering a change to an RT, but given that I spend most of my time riding bumpy B roads (not off road), think I might stick with the GSA.

Go for as much suspension travel as possible.

this is how the sales system works, they want you to try other models knowing it will be different and there fore " nice" . I bet when you take it back they casually ask how it went on the RT, " oh it was great thanks " " come and sit down have a free BMW coffee and we can talk some figures"

You will buy it and when you do ask for the £450 service fee you just paid on the GS to be deducted.
The RT is a superb mile muncher , the bars can be sorter with risers that move them up and also back for more comfort
