Hi,
Think it's time for a new pair if winter gloves. I'm after warmth not interested in looking cool. Would folk recommend these type of gloves - two fingers per section. Do they keep your pinkies toasty on the winter commute? Any feedback from those who have tried them would be great before I buy a pair.
Cheers for your time

Had some HG Pathan for years, really good for the money. Now got some HELD that were twice as much and aren't even as good let alone twice as good. Like them tho

Yep, work really well.

Have used the Hein Gericke version for years.

Put your money into Heated grips and Muffs

I currently use the HG ones combined with heated inner gloves - perfect combination. I find this set-up much better than heated grips (apart from the faff factor) as each finger is heated individually. Honestly, try it :thumb

I have lobster over gloves. Revit H20s. They are good...but Not as good as muffs...and a gaucho

I've done 10hour trips at just above freezing...and it was like being under a duvet...exposed bits...like face and not so well insulated back and kidneys were feckin freezing mind you.

Keep your core area warm and it'll help keep extremities warm...I've invested in a Rab goose down gilet for this year.

I have heated grips, I keep my torso warm. I don't like muffs, tried them but not for me. I do need a new pair of winter gloves though. Thanks for the feedback. Can't find the HG ones anywhere, seem to remember they went bust? Will probably try the Spada Eighty 2 claw glove. In comparison to the 3 season gloves I went through last winter with I'm sure they'll be a massive improvement. Cheers as always for the advice.

I've used heated grips with muffs and summer gloves for years with no problems. The last winter gloves I used were Alpinstars goretex ones which were ok but I find them a bit of a faff to put on.

I have Pathan two finger live long and prosper leather gloves. Hein Geiricke.
Very nice.
The replacements were cordura, never wear them as lining pulls out when damp/wet.

Also have verns muffs 319 on 1200GSA . Excellent, summer gloves, occasional heated grips. Restrictive as makes bars even wider when negotiating our terraced house passage.

Option 3 ,thin summer gloves with a pair of exo2 battery powered over mitts. 3 or 4 hours per charge.

The exo2 stormrider gilet has been a good investment ,keeps the core warm so feet and hands stay a bit warmer longer.:thumb2

Also have a bought it, bugger needs riding in all weathers. :D

Had a pair for about 8 years now.

Really good.

Mine are HG Pathan type.

I just bought some Rukka Argosaurus, very pleased with them, but as winter is now here I have fitted the muffs and will go back to wearing summer gloves when o the GS

I've used that style for years - in heavy rain I supplement them with a set of Difi Typhoon rain gloves which are just cheap plastic overgloves and they make all the difference for keeping dry.

I've looked at these types of glove on and off over the years but have always shy'd away from buying a pair as none of them had any serious protection built in.
Are there any out there now that have decent protection?

Andres

I am currently using Richa 2330 glove. After using normal gloves they feel a bit strange at first. Yet to see how they are when it gets properly cold. But so far they are warm and Dry. Only real snag is that I can no longer give drivers the finger when I feel they deserve it :D

Jim,
Gloves arrived today and they look brand new. Thank you ever so much, they are exactly what I needed. They will be put into service tomorrow.
Thanks again 👍
