Guys I'm looking for an independent mechanic around Edinburgh or a forum member who knows there way around the 1150 GS twin spark.
I bought my bike privately last weekend and its running rough at around 4-5 thousand revs. most pronounced under load rolling the throttle on in 5th and 6th
It has 32k on the clock and a full service history.
I have changed both stick coils as they appeared to show signs of arcing on the side of the cylinder head. Thought this would solve the problem but it hasn't. I'm looking for a second opinion on the problem.
I build my own bikes as a hobby but I'm not familiar with the BMW ( bit too new fangled)so I'm looking for some help.
The purchase cleaned me out so I'm trying to avoid putting it into the local BMW dealership.
Any recommendations or experienced owners willing to help a guy out here.
