Undo the fixing nut and bolt at the rear RH side.
Lift the back of the tank and hold it up with a piece of wood:thumb

......then look for the nut you dropped:P

oh your gonna love taking it all to bits....

I think it's petrol tank off and then you can get to the battery

best of luck and it's way easier on an 1150 than on an HP2:blast

Cold fingers and hidden non-captive nuts, don't you just love'em :D

Bikerbrady...6mm allen key, a foot of wood (ooer missus) and a 10mm spanner....but as Tim hinted at, when you undo the allen key bolt (under the plastic cover , right hand side as sat on bike) make sure you poke your finger round the back of the bracket or you stand a good chance of losing the nut that will fall of the back :)

Undo the Negative terminal first so even if you touch the tank with the spanner while undoing the +ve, it won't weld the spanner to the tank flange :D

10 min job....and if you have a battery back up alarm, don't forget to wear earplugs 'cos it'll be going off for all those ten minutes (DAMHIK!)

Plus.....don't forget to check the seating of the throttle cables when you put it back, if they aren't right your bike will run like a bag of poo!!!!

Too Slow?.................................I am from Stoke :eek:eek:eek

That pic doesn't contain boobs and can't be hit with a drumstick, this relegates it to the bin............sorry :D:D:D
