It won't switch off while riding, you is got to be stationary......... get yourself a manual.

Just to clarify:

To turn the ABS off, switch off ignition, press and hold ABS button, at the same time turn ignition on. Release ABS button and start the engine. Red warning light will remain lit to remind you that ABS is disabled.

You can shut down the engine with the kill-switch and re-start without turning the ignition off to avoid repeating the process.

Turning off the ignition will mean that the ABS automatically re-sets and you have to repeat the process (about the only advance on the later 1200's that's worthwhile is that the button will do the on/off switching without the ignition switch 'dance').

Just goes to show ya can't beat a digit energisied, power source interupting device

Mine was useful yesterday whilst heading down a lane round a local reservoir!

I love the ABS when doing road stuff but on lanes and tracks it would scare the pooh right outa ya

So I have a big switch cutting the power feed to the unit (whilst on the move) and putting it to sleep whilst playing then all I do is come to a complete stop and flick it again and when I move off as normal it reinitialises :aidan:aidan

Only an option Casa Jay on the ABS II systems :thumb because Residual braking on Integral ABS is not for the faint of wrist:eek::eek::eek:!
