The last evening gathering was a popular affair, so what say we do another?

We struck lucky with the weather last time, as the pub was ramped.

If it suits everyone I will hunt out another venue around the same area, so reasonably convenient for London Bridge, City and Waterloo. I guess it's beer and nosh we want?

The pub sells good beer and does grub and / or we could eat in Il Bordello (cheap Italian) about 5 minutes walk down the road. I don't mind booking it up.

Nearest tube: Wapping or about 15 minutes (brisk) walk from Tower Hill.

No. 100 bus (Liverpool Street / Aldgate / Minories) goes straight past the door, too.

Easy parking outside.

Can we not goto the other place by the river that people used to goto. I think it's slightly further west from where you are proposing, but the same shitty side of the river

Eh? Doggetts (as in Coat and Badge) is south of the river. Wapping is, most certainly, north.

If people want to go to Doggetts instead, it's fine by me.

On my last visit with ChasMill of this parish we (or more accurately, a consulting engineer colleague of Charlie's) somehow managed to upset the bar staff, who refused to serve us

Wapping and the Town of Ramsgate - maybe with Il Bordello lobbed in for nosebag - gets my vote
