I missed the NEC last year so I was thinking of going to the show at Excel (Feb 4th to 7th) but am surprised to see no threads on the subject on this forum.

Do I take it that I would be wasting my £18 by bothering to go or is it generally considered to be worthwhile?

Sunday

Thers a few of us going on sunday,if you want to tag along, for a bit of bargain hunting.Last day you see, I'm after a Rukka.
i did the preview day at the NEC, nothing special really, but a good day out without rif raf, they dont like £28 tickets, lots of celebs up there, saw gordon effing ramsay buying his nortons, met Charley Boorman again, and i think it was that fox fella from the radio, oh and Si Pavey, hes a nice fella.

Its good to hear that its not a waste of time and money.

Last time I as at the NEC, Infinity were doing 10% off Rukka but to be honest there is a fella in Rye who I have found to be cheaper anyway -

Not sure what day I will go (probably be with some others anyway) but I will keep an eye out on here and maybe try to say hello at the show.

It depends what you want/like.

Some like the bikes, the banter and a day out. If you're that kind of person then I guess you'll like it.

If you're looking for 'bargains' and all the latest in bike technology then you're going to be disapointed. There's dealers representing some manufacturers and it's not a very big show, assuming its all in one hall again.

I'll be going as I also missed the NEC.

Not sure which day yet but possibly the weekend with the boy.

London show is very very small compared to the NEC. So for similar to the NEC, you get a lot less.

If you are not bothered by that but want a two hour "day trip" then it will fine.

Warning - Check ticket availability before travelling.

Just a word of warning.

I tried to order tickets on line via the line from the MCN website only to find that they were shown as "sold out" on all four days.

My mate works in the east end so is going to the Excel to check at the ticket office direct.

When I get any news I will post an update.

No shortage of tickets from the website currently and having worked these shows for years the only shortage of availability has only ever been discounted tickets, selling out of general admission tickets is never going to happen.

If you're going then see ya there on stand N65 for a Tosser's welcome no doubt similar to this one from the NEC :augie

It already had, Indecisive was taking the photo and I had a premonition about what was to follow... ;)

I'll pop along and cheer you up - I could be after some monitors for my UEs (I'll bring along my moulds).

I shall be going on the Saturday. Been a couple of times before, it's quite small and cosy, and there are some end-of-season bargains on the clothing stands. Last time I sat on an F650GS, with no intention of buying one; three months later, I did just that...

There's a "combination" ticket in advance, entry and car parking combined, plus some discount vouchers, which saves finding £10 in coins to pay for car parking underneath the eXcel. £10 to park? Well, the train fare would be twice that!

Just a shame it's sponsored by the weekly comic...

A group of 8 of us are going on Friday 5th Feb. We enjoy it and treat it as a good 2 day break, with a good night out in the smoke thrown in. :JB

I agree..

with Davethedriver for what it is worth I prefer the Ace Show at Ally Pally at the end of the month.
Like you having not done any biking meets apart from BoxHill that is I always have looked at the Excell show as being my life line after Winter but to be honest once there I have always been disappointed so I will save my money this year until the end of Feb.
Your choice but I would not bother.

May well be there with ChasMill of this parish, if only to annoy Judge with inscrutable questions from the east.
