Ha! Nearly there. Just 1.5 days to go until the London Motorcycle Show :thumb2 Really looking forward to it again this year. They seem to have done quite a lot to bring the show up to speed so lets hope that it works. The weather forecast (typing one handed so the other remains on wood) looks pretty good for the 3 days of the show. 15/16/17th

A change for me this year. I've been invited to book sign on the Adventure Bike Shop stand. Very kind of Cliff and Jenny to step in with Les not heading up.

I hope you'll drop by to say hello and to snag a copy or two of my books and while thinking about it, we'll also have some copies of Graham Field's excellent book 'In Search of Greener Grass'. A tale of a KLR I know, but it really is good. Snag a copy while they last :)

Friday it is then. Excellent. Looking forward to seeing you guys. I'll be on the Triumph stand for a while mid-day though. Motorcycle Outreach have a presentation going on. So, if you see a stand-in who looks nowt like me then you know what's going on :)

I went a few years back, disappointing lack of content spread out over a large area :(

I was tempted to give it another try.
Anyone going today let us know what you think of it please....I've got nothing on tomorrow.

:thumb2

To be honest I didn`t think much of it.I went last year and enjoyed the day but this year no.I only went with a couple of things in mind, 1/ to sort some tyres thank you Universal:thumb2/ to get a Givi tank bag bloke hadn`t brought any :nenau Will I go next year, maybe.

Went today - have to say very disappointed. Rubbish live show, far fewer stalls than last time I visited (2 years ago) all crammed into one hall. Apart from seeing the new GS which I think looks better in photos than the flesh very poor selection. No tool stalls that I could see mostly shops clearing end of line crap cheap. Anyway thats my tuppence worth - wont be going next year.

Cheers chaps, sounds like it hasn't improved since I last went.
I won't bother tomorrow.

Hi I went today
Very disappointed, like others say all crammed in to one hall.
Wasn't very impressed with new gs either , it looked I dunno
Like a fat 650gs if you know what I mean, cheapish and also any one
Who's ordered one needs to sell all their old luggage as new
One has totally new mounting points ( typical bmw ) and not
Spoke wheels!!!! what were they thinking.booked test ride on
Last of old adventure looks much better bike.imho
Reason I went was to see honda crf 450 rally.but wasn't on
Honda stand! Thought they might of had dakar one,but was
Told on the hush, hush that they are for sure releasing it .cool

Myself and Pat Chris and Dave went today. As above live show was lame. The show wasnt a patch on previous years. All crammed into one hall.Im sorry after seeing the water cooled GS in the flesh i cant say i get it .Dunno what the fuss is over.Ducati Diavel was mad.The new Honda cb500x (mini GS) was pleasing.
Come on boys lower the stall cost next year and sort the lame entertainment.

Glad I didn't bother seeing the above reports - last month I went the the Boat Show / Bike Show / Outdoors Show / A.N. other show which frankly was so great that I can't remember a thing about it... arrived at just before 5pm and was thoroughly bored by the whole tawdry event (allegedly x4) by 7.15pm

In my view it wasn't worth the discounted £10 entry price - two such wastes of time and money would have been hard to take at this time of the year.

I went today, it was nice in a Cosy sort of way... Thought £20 entrance a bit steep compared to soooooooooo much more at NEC for £16!!

But, had a beer... Sat on some bikes, met up with some mates... Got home went out with the lad for a curry and now it's time for Die Hard 4... Perfick!
