London Motorcycle Show?

i went today and it was disapointing really,20 squid to get in food was very expensive, but i did really really like the harley scrambler on the hd stand,if i could have one bike out of the whole show it would be that one.anyone take a pic of it?

yep your right it is the shaws bike, just thought it might be the one as its always doing the rounds, was actually there yesterday but didn't see the one your talking about, pretty dissapointed with the show though too many people to actually spend time looking !

Is this the one? I just wandered over and this seemed the likely candidate. Also took a photo of the info sheet. If you want the original resolution of this and others I took of the bike let me know.

Cheers,

Matt

Glad I didn't go to the show now after reading all the moaning:D Happier to be riding my bike and having fun rather than trudging up to London:comfort:beerjug::JB

Hi,

I will upload a couple of photos and share them when I get home. I must admit, that is one eye-catching bike. :)

Almost packing up time. :D

Was passing through London yesterday so I thought it would be worth a look. Bad day to be trying to get anywhere by transport for London because of closures on the underground and the show did not make the hassle worth it. Felt a bit like the Ingliston Scottish Show without the shit car park.

Never mind. Had a nice trip on the Emirates Cable car.

A really good weekend for us, thanks. Never known it so busy. Me and Mrs Monty get paid in the ultimate currency of beer and curry, so it is all good. :)

Gosh. Sad to hear people thought the show was rubbish. I came on here to say thanks to GSers who came over to say hello and yes, to buy books from me :thumb2

Did I enjoy the show? Actually I did. Yes, a significant part of being at a show for me is the chance to link up with mates, and of course, to sell books!

The only negative comments I heard from attendees all day were about the show being so small and the cost of food. Everything else was positive and there seemed to be far more laughter than I've heard at the last 3 London Bike Shows. And there was me thinking that you guys would have liked it too...

People I spoke to liked the new zoned layout - Classic bikes with racing green carpet, Custom with black carpet, ADV and travel with sand and so on. I suspect that one of the reasons they put the live show in the middle was that last year, a lot of attendees said that they didn't like it being on the side in another hall...

The costs of being at the show? Hmmm, it seems costs have risen for everyone! It's always been expensive to be at a show but London... Now, with cost of diesel, staff costs etc, that's part of why so many regulars didn't manage to make it. I know from two companies, who just sent people to stroll and take in the venue and see how the show was run, that they regretted not being there and that if the show is run next year then they'll be back. It was good to hear that most people I had longer conversations with had taken advantage of all the discounted tickets that were on sale in the run up.

One other thing I heard lots of positive comments about was the indoor parking.

While here, I do need to thank Cliff and Jenny from the Adventure Bike Shop for giving inviting me to book sign with them. It was really good to see how busy their stand was for so much of each day. And I was chuffed to get the chance to spend a bit of time with Matt and Mrs Monty !!!

And of course, why I came on in the first place. To thank everyone who stopped off with me at the stand. Cheers! Double cheers to those of you who bought books, and brought in fivers for me. You'll know what that was all about if you were there! Thanks!!! Got me out of a hole! :thumb2 :thumb2
