As the title suggests. I am on the lookout for a second hand set
I think @Sly had some of these but they may be included on his GSA that's for sale?As the title suggests. I am on the lookout for a second hand set
I don't mind which CAN device is comes with as long at its compatible with the 1250GSA(2024)Hi dj,
You do not have to use a motocan with motolights I use an EZcan to run mine and all features and functions are available, this was confirmed by the Lone Rider team
The critical part is that the EZcan must be a V2 running the latest software and as such have the data line on the white channel (I believe that this does mean you can not use the cansmart ie Denali version.
Denali do not use pure data to control their lights they simply use pwm to control the brightness and as such you need to use separate channels for switching drls off on the side you are indicating as well as separate channels for adjusting the brightness of high and low beams.
This is where, imho, the motolights are way ahead, using only the data function on the single (white) data channel you can control both high, low and drls on both the left AND right side of the bike, including turning the appropriate aux lights off when indicating, you program the spot beam is set to come on at the speed of your choice when the high beam is on
The only downside on the motolights is the drls are not as visible as I would like them to be in the daytime, using the low beam (bottom leds) overcomes this issue
I know I have a set already, and I agree, they are awesome. I missed out on a second set elsewhere and thought I'd have a mooch about.Sadly sold them + the mount + the Ezcan Gen II I bought for it.
@djgsa amazing lights mate! Honestly turn the night into day with those things on.
You want to run two sets? Don't melt the tar!I know I have a set already, and I agree, they are awesome. I missed out on a second set elsewhere and thought I'd have a mooch about.
They are bringing out a new set of smaller ones, but knowing LR, they won't be out till xmas![]()
YepYou want to run two sets? Don't melt the tar!
I'd be interesting in the AMP draw vs what your alternator can put back into the battery in that scenario..
The recommendation is to run the second set at 50% maxA single set uses ~15A…
Unlikely you can get a used set mate. People don't want to part with them.Bump
I wish I could disagree with you, hence why I want another set. But I live in hopeUnlikely you can get a used set mate. People don't want to part with them.
I know cause I regret selling mine!
What are their new ones? Not aware they were launching new ones..I wish I could disagree with you, hence why I want another set. But I live in hope
Their new ones wont be out until the end of the year.![]()
The current Moto lights are being renamed to ML9. They are doing some smaller ones called ML4What are their new ones? Not aware they were launching new ones..
Interesting! I must have missed this news. Curious who they aiming these at..The current Moto lights are being renamed to ML9. They are doing some smaller ones called ML4
Replacements for the OEM fitted lights. Also to increase their line up as apparently the MotoLight(ML9) to a chunk out of Denali at the time.Interesting! I must have missed this news. Curious who they aiming these at..

Ideally, I want something that will work on CAN bus. I don't really want to be wiring in separate controls if I can help itCould always save a chunk of cash and go for some ColightsThey are actually really well made and spec'd and they do make a lot of the lights for the big vendors.
