Wanted LoneRider MotoLights + Motocan

Ideally, I want something that will work on CAN bus. I don't really want to be wiring in separate controls if I can help it
I have just put D09 Pro's on mine with an Ezcan gen2 and with a bit of basic soldering to put Ezcan pigtails on the harness that cme with the Colights . Total cost was less than £250. They have pretty much the same functionality. Outer DRL in amber which doubles as indicators . Then both sides have high and low beams . It takes 4 channels on the ezcan and I have 2 units to manage all my outputs.

I was going to mention just that before the site went down for maintenance :) I've got a set for my Stelvio, but there's no EZ-CAN solution for those, so I may use a Dialdim if I can find a used one as I'm not paying £360 quid for a "switch" :)

I was toying with the idea of just using the wiring / switch / module that comes with the lights but the ability to use as Indicators and dim down some of the lights makes the ezcan a better solution but if you don't have that then they would be fine with wiring that comes with them.

Ive had Denali D7's, Motolights and now I've got Exposure lights and the spread of light I think is better than the Motolights. Motolights punch further but the Exposure use a quarter of the power if you are wanting a second set of light.

I have a set of Colight D09 wired for a 4 channel setup on a ezCAN / Motocan etc. which I will put up later today for £65.00 plus postage.

do you have any pictures, and are the lights with or without the ezcan ?

I'd be interested in those if they are already setup for an ezcan (sorry to hijack dj)

No worries. I emailed Colight and they woudn't recommend the CAN option
Interesting. I think they meant more wired into the CAN but with an ezCAN, it's no difference to having Denali's plugged in?

Tbh I'm still getting my head around what you can and can't do with an EzCan/MotoCan

I believe the worst that will happen is the ezcan will shut down the circuit if its overloaded?

Apparently I can run up to 16 sets of stuff on the white circuit. if thats true then I'll get another set of the MotoLights. but I have to check

Ah of course cause they data lights. Just need a splitter..

Just about to order my Motolights. Want to compare them to the CoLights and do a write up back to back.

See if the price tag is worth it or they just re-named colights :ROFLMAO:

I’d check with Lone Rider if you can run multiple off one EzCan. If they use the same EzBus “address” then you might not be able to configure them separately.

I think they do use the same Bus but each device has its own address. I'm off on my hols next week but when I get back I'll get another set of lights and some Y splitters and give it a try. If it doesn't work I'll just get another EzCan. Their smaller lights are ages away yet :(

So inital thoughts of the CoLights - not quite the same as the Lone Rider ones. Also quite a pain to wire up and configure properly.

The speed blending (obviously) isn't a feature, the inner spot light is on all the time, just different brightnesses. Need to try them out at night and see the flood light comparison..
