Hi everyone,

I'm about to put adventure pannier rails onto my GS. Reading the instructions (yes I know I shouldn't read instructions!) it has the following guidance:

Any ideas? The picture further down makes me think that it may move the indicator back an inch and a bit:

Its bollocks , the short stem original GS ones fit fine on a GSA except they are tucked in and less likely to be damaged. I fitted GS rear indicators on my GSA LC for just that reason , no need to splash out on new indicators

It may well be a result of the recent (last year?) stop sale issue in the states. Some thing to do with the pannier rails preventing all round sight of the indicators. Maybe?

Possibly , but ever since the LC models came out the GS has always had short stem rear led indicators fitted and the GSA has always had the long stem variety on the rear

My 1250 GSA TE has the short versions fitted from new so I don't know what the need for the longer ones are unless it's a US issue like Alan has said?

Thanks everyone. I loose fitted the rack last night and I can’t see why there would be any practical issues.

Cheers,

Garan.
