To cut a long story short - I have a ticket for this Friday and my Directors won't let me off early enough to get down there!
(Barsta*ds)!!

Anyway that means its up for grabs - don't want any money for it (you'll just owe me a pint next time we meet up). So first one to send me their address details will get it. (I'll send it by registered post - the company can pay and that means you'll get it in time).

A pal and I went up to Park Lane BMW in London yesterday evening to meet Charley Boorman. His bike was on display along with the hastily welded rear subframe. The evening started off at 5pm with a short clip of his LONG WAY ROUND serial, then a very entertaining half-an-hour question and answer session, then it was the book signing. No chardonnay or canapes, not even a cuppa tea. Charley is a lovely bloke and we spoke as he signed my book, before it all began. I thought the BMW organisation was quite poor with about eighty people crammed into an awkward L-shaped showroom.
Never mind, I had the signed book and DVD, and my mate and I had the best ever steak & kidney pudding at the Shakespeare pub opposite Victoria Station afterwards.
Ewan is abroad making another movie.
