A new prioposal for next year. Long weekend to the Eifel. In line with our Moderator's propsal some specifics to help people if they are interested:
1. Day 1 for me will be The Hague to The Eifel on Friday 16th April. Route as per below. Anyone coming on the Harwich ferry welcome to ride down with me. Route to Roermond is motorway then the cross over into Germany and through the North Eifel area down to the Mosel.
2. Days 2 & 3 - Rides around the Eifel / Mosel area of Germany. Routes as per below. Distances are about the same and stop en route for a bite will be taken into account. Some interesting sights along the way particlalry a coffee stop in the Castle in Kronenbourg with its interesting histpry and info board showing Herr Himler in full black SS regalia.....
3. Day 4 is the route back to the Hague. Same as for bods taking the Ferry they can join me as well.
For those taking the tunnel or ferry via Calais we can meet at the hotel. Max / ideal number would be 4 pax so first come first served.
Hotel is probably going to be Das Altes Schulhaus in Rachtig along the banks of the Mosel. Its relatively inexepnsive and has a nice restaurant and bar.
