Hi
Does anyone know where I can obtain a longer front brake cable from the Brake lever to the first junction on a BMW 1150GS Adv as I have fitted bar risers and the cable feels a bit tight on full lock could do with about 2 inches longer.
Many thanks
Tony

Cable? Is this a special modification? Most have hydraulic hoses.

....and as the wheel, forks and handlebars are all immovably connected in the rotating plane, why would it tighten only on full lock?

HEL mobile can make you one up, I think they are on the southcoast Google search em.

If you have ABS the hose goes to the headstock connector so does not turn with the wheel.

HEL is about five minutes from my place... they are on the Tedburn Road just outside of exeter. Let me know the length and the fittings you want (or shall I assume they are the same as mine 04 GSA) and I'll pop it in the post for you.

I have just replaced my brake lines and asked HEL to make the handle bar line 30mm longer to allow for bar risers.

All works well.

I found that the main HEL office do not communicate very well, despite e mails and phone calls no one would talk to me so I just ordered what I wanted on line and hoped for the best. turned out ok though.

You've not looked very closely at your hose routing have you? :augie
The hose from the mastercylinder runs to a fitting / junction on the right hand side of the frame behind the headstock so bar movement does impact hose length.

Humble pie duly eaten. I wuz wrong.
