Hello All, :beerjug:
Looking for some help/advice from the North East division of this great site.
I've only been riding just over a year now, and opted for a 1150gs 2001 non ABS model as a first bike. As i'm 6ft8 tall it was definately the right decision, however I will admit that the first couple of months were daunting due to the size and weight of these great machines. The more I ride the more I've grown to love it, and this year I'm beginning to add some mod's to improve my comfort on longer rides. I have already fitted a higher seat and lowered the pegs.
Now the problem : I fitted some 35mm Wunderlich handlebar risers which has made the front brake line from the brake lever come under to much strain and I need to fit a longer line. Anyone know or recommend a bike shop in the North-East who still make up brake lines. One person mentioned that it is not as common as maybe in the past due to more stringent health and safety reg's, is this true? I am looking at an extra 10cm over standard length to be certain that I have enough free play.
Any comments would very much appreciated,
PS. take it easy with the piss taking as I new :bow

Just say Rob sent you;)

Try HEL or Goodridge or any of the other brake line specialists. If they don't have it available off the shelf they will make one up for you.
