My 1150 GS seems to lean at a precarious angle when fully loaded. This may be an own goal, as I've replaced the original plastic luggage with heavier GSA alu boxes. It hasn't come to grief yet, but I'm just waiting for the day when I can't find a sufficiently level parking place. So I'd like to replace the side stand with a longer one.

I've found plenty of side stand footprint enlargers advertised, but no extenders - at least, not for the 1150 GS. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Ice hockey puck bolted to the foot of the existing one works well ;)

Well, all credit to Rugged Roads. I ordered the fat foot side stand thingy at 11pm on Tuesday. It arrived this morning!

Now I just have to remember to pack it when I collect the bike ... :thumb

Two ways.

I've used an Ice hockey puck for ages

Better still...... cut the stand in half, weld a threaded stud into one end and a nut on the other, put a locknut on the stud and now you have an adjustable side stand.
