Ladies and Gentlemen, Welcome to the first LongWALESRound motorcycle charity ride!
I'm organising this run to raise funds for the Wales Air Ambulance Service, which, i'm sure you'll all agree is very worthy cause.
The event is to take part over the weekend of 1st and 2nd of September 2012 with an overnight camping area being very kindly being provided by Trac Mon on Anglesey. The route is 660 miles long and starts at 08:00 on 1/9/12 from the Senedd in Cardiff Bay. The route takes in the idyllic landscapes of South and West Wales, visiting St. Davids, the most westerly city in the UK and passing through the historic university town of Aberystwyth before it travels north through the rugged mountains of North Wales to beautiful Caernarfon and its imposing castle, then crossing the Menai Strait onto Anglesey and our overnight stop at Trac Mon. Day 2 Leaves Anglesey after visiting Holyhead and follows the coast through Colwyn Bay, Rhyl and Prestatyn before turning South along the Wales/England border through the spectacular scenery of Mid-Wales and returning back to Cardiff to complete the route.
Route Maps, GPS Downloads, Flyers and Sponsorship Forms available by e-mailing your name and contact number to me at: [email protected]. Alternatively, if you cannot take part but would like to donate, please go to www.justgiving.com/longwalesround and make a secure online donation.
Thanks for taking a look at this, Thank you everyone who's helped in the planning, and i hope to see some of you in September, Tim.
