....Just got BT BB and decided I would take advantage of the Norton Anti Virus etc, as it part of the deal (lol)

...a quick job he said: Just uninstall Macfee and load Norton :thumb

...many days later, head totally wasted and totally pissed off, & I' m nearly their, still trying to remove the last fragments of Macfee Security Centre. :spitfire

...Seems to be designed to be incredible difficult to remove :nenau :nenau

...& their website and forum not that great.

...Will get some shut eye before I attempt to start deleting files from the registry tomorrow

...Hate mail in draft to BT for not warning how Feckin diffcult it is, to switch.

...Heads up for anyone else who is not systems expert, stick to what you've got....

mcafee 10 is a bit of a sod to remove. it has to be done in the right order or it all goes pear shaped.

 Another Norton user who'll be posting 'help....why is my PC slow and crashing, and how can I get rid of this Norton crap' in a couple of months

Garry....do a search on 'Norton' here.........it's truly pants mate....it causes more problems that it solves.

There are better progs out there, most free......you'll find lots of info in the PC Help section so I won't go into it again, but really, I'd ditch (or don't use) Norton if I were you :)

It will take that long to post anything with Norton slowing things down. ;)

Kept crashing the pooter and a bastid to get rid of.

Asked for a refund and got nowt. Bastids

Like the MacAffee?? though except it keeps asking me to get new updates minutes after paying for the latest and greatest then tries to charge for them. :spitfire
