I'm looking for one to hire, borrow or, reluctantly, buy. It's for an '82 R100RS, but I think it's the same for all airhead 5-speed boxes, is that right?

As for the drive flange removal tool, the one to get the flange off the taper, is that really necessary to do the job? Also for the end-cover removing tool that fits where the clutch push-rod goes, is that a must-have?

motorworks can get you one for about £125 IIRC. i have a diagram so you could get one fabricated, but i can't see it being any cheaper. if it is, i'll have one too :)

the flange puller is about £175 from motorworks.

Hi, cookie,

I thought I saw one for £55 somewhere, but since you say £125 then suddenly I'm not quite so sure. It's a pretty accurate piece of work from the tolerances on the drawing I saw somewhere.

As for the flange puller, I can make one of those without too much bother, but £175 is a hell of a price for something that seems pretty simple. If I have to make one then if there is there a Tools Pool on here (UKGSer), perhaps I could put it in there for loan to members.

Thinks: is there such a thing as a Tools Pool on here? If not, then how about setting one up?

I may post a thread in the morning under that heading.
