Looking for a PDA/Smartphone

I have an old O2 XDA Orbit (about 2.5 years old) but couldn't say what the battery is like now.:augie

Has built-in GPS and CoPilot software.

Linky

Yours for £20 plus postage if you're interested.:D

Haven't used it for about 14 months now though, so battery probably iffy.

Dave.
I picked up an old Orange M500 from eBay and got it unlocked, it works great on O2. Phone + unlock was less than £35. I got a 2nd hand Bluetooth GPS Ariel and I have TOMTOM 6 on it now.

A company called HTC makes loads of PDA's then rebrands them to Orange "M" series, O2 "XDA's" ect. So they are all pretty much the same. There is a web site that the name escapes me, but it gives details on how to unlock them, and there are loads of free software for them.

But IMO the old m500 does what I need, plus is a cheap Sat Nav. PM if you interested and I’ll dig out the web address.

I must admit those XDA orbits with the built in GPS are very good, but I will wait until they are a bit older and pick one up on the cheap.

Good luck, Ian

I don't know if you can get it on O2, but standing at Marylebone Station waiting for a delayed train last week I spotted two phone/computer magazines testing the top PDA phones. I both cases the HTC Touch HD came out top.

Tried to post pics of the XDA but they were too big. I've emailed them to you, Dave.:thumb2

Another :thumb2 for the xda. Been using mine for 2 yrs. Quite happy with it. Would update it but nothing comparable with a decent sat nav built in. Using copilot. Screens too small to read in a tankbag or mount really but I just lock the screen, plug the earphones in and stick it in my pocket. Works fine using audio only.:clap
