I'm looking for an enduro type suit but in a ladies cut (being of the female persuasion). I've had a BMW Rallye 2 for a couple of years now and am looking to replace it but just want something that is specifically cut for ladies. All the ones I have found so far are cheap and nasty (Rukka, Richa etc) and I don't do cheap and nasty. I want quality and I don't mind paying for it. Any thoughts before I end up getting a Rallye 3?

Made to measure? If so, who does them?

yikes rukka "cheap and nasty" What kind of quality are you after :nenau
I always thought rukka was one of the leading brands for quality etc. sorry dont know much about ladies bike gear but there are plenty here who do and I am sure someone will be along soon.

Top of the range Rukka is around £2500, cheap:blast, you can add some Swarovski Crystal , for that "Je ne sais quois":D.

Rukka?....cheap???......:nenau

I did try Googling womens adventure jackets, but little came up.

But all the major brands cater for women, so a search through individual sites would probably reap better results.

There are some quality brands out there...Rukka, Revit, Held, Hein Gericke, or even the new stuff through the Adventure Bike Warehouse who advertise on here.

Didn't really help much, but I tried, but if you're after better quality than Rukka then you're going to struggle.

All the major brands I have looked through don't do a ladies suit similar to a Rallye 3, they all think we ride 600s or are pillions. No one seems to cater for ladies that ride GSA's on and off road.

I'll take another look at Rukka if everyone thinks they are good quality, as well as the Adventure Bike Warehouse.

Thanks guys.:beerjug:

Just checked out Rukka. 2 ladies jackets and neither of them what I want.

I don't want black - too hot for touring in the summer. Am I being too fussy?

I also meant to say that I ride all year round and do an 80 mile round trip to work every day. This suit needs to be able to cope.

Here's a few links...first is for Rukka. But you could also try Biker-land.de for probably a better range...though you'll not be able to try them on.

The Infinity link shows two that might be some good...the Clover Midland, and the Spada one.
I know nothing of Clover, but I've had Spada stuff and always been very impressed...although the price may make you think it's too cheap.

Rukka really is quality stuff, as is Revit, and Hein Gericke stuff is highly rated on here too.

It may be a task, but it does seem that there are options out there....but I'll admit you do have to search a lot harder.

Try Hideout Leathers near Saffron Walden, run by Kate Jennings and they do all the quality gear like Rukka in addition to made to measure leathers. Kate has been in the business for years and sorted my wife out with some great gear and can also handle adjustments of course. Lovely lady and very patient. 01799 584828 www.hideout-leather.co.uk Also take a look at Halversons gear.

Have you seen this?

I probably would have bought this instead of my Rukka ARMAS. Or would I?

As a left field suggestion why not have a look at the aerostitch roadcrafter suit. Not made in women's sizes, but custom alterations available. A great all round piece of kit.
Elvie rides year round and swears by her Rukka kit. IMHO it isn't cheap, but it is quality.

Hi Bouncer,

The first bike clothes I had were Hein Gerricke in a ladies fitting....however, the makers ASSUME girls don't ride bikes and the fact there were no to little pockets in it, made it useless for me.

I had a rallye II and now have a rallye III which I am more than happy with...the only thing they have done different is its a closer fit than the II and the back protector is larger - width ways.

Good luck in your search:beerjug:

I have a Hein Gericke Explorer, which over the last six months has been fantastic. Kept me dry through the worst rain I've ever ridden in, then cool enough as I got to the med. Plenty of pockets, and four of them proper waterproof. Decent body armour and a good quality feel. I commute in it every day, and nothing has fallen off or looks even remotely worn after six months.

They don't list it as specifically for women, but in my experience textile suits are never a 'perfect' fit like a set of leathers anyway. Here's the links to their ladies jackets and ladies trousers - the Journey stuff gets good reviews...

Well, Touratech have just brought out a ridiculously priced enduro suit, and here you are - looking for a ridiculously priced enduro suit.
Lucky day or what ?

Ditto above. Perhaps you could get one and do a video review for us?

I ride all year round in a Rukka suit and find it comfortable warm and waterproof. They do different colours as well as black. I have a blue one. Have seen red too. It is top quality and definitely not cheap.

My friend wears Halvarssons and swears by it but I know very little about it.

If you don't want Rukka or Halvarssons but want ladies specific high end suit you will struggle - let me know if you find anything else.
